Velvety dark-green leaves marked with a âpine treeâ of silver-chartreuse on the veins; light blue-lavender flowers. Other leaf forms may be bronze or green marked with silver. Great color and texture, rather small-leaved and compact growing habit, a pleasure to watch and touch.
Feed a 1/4 strength fertiliser at each watering. Give houseplant food to Episcias twice a month with any good water-soluble liquid fertilizer, remembering, of course, to fertilize only on well moistened soil. This safeguards tiny roots from fertilizer burn. Keep episcias pest free by giving them a thorough inspection for pests.
Grow in well-drained, moderately fertile soil in a sheltered, sunny site. Protect in winter in cold areas.
Temperatures between 65 (18 °C) to 75 F (23 °C) and nighttime temperatures between 50 t(10°C) to 60 F (15 °C).
