How to Care for the Plant
Water
An incorrect watering routine can harm this delicate vine significantly, so be very careful! Water your Peperomia regularly. However, you should only give your green friend a sip when the topsoil feels dry. Make sure the liquid doesn't stagnate in the container. Usually, Peperomia needs irrigation once every 7-10 days.
Pruning
Pruning Peperomia 'Hope' is not mandatory, but you can control the size of your plant by doing so. If you decide to trim your greenie, it's best to do it in summer or spring.
You can clip or pinch off dead leaves and stems. If stems have rotted at the root, pull them out, and let the soil dry out before the plant's next watering.Fertilizer
If your vine is young, you should add humus to the soil in the spring to help it grow. You can also feed Peperomia 'Hope' with balanced liquid fertilizers. Feed your plant once a month from March to August.
Sunlight
Peperomia grows best in bright but not scorching light. Lack of sunlight can make your plant look pale and lethargic; however hot summer sun can scorch it. You will need to find balance! You can put your green friend next to east- or west-facing windows.
Soil
The best mix for Peperomia Hope is a mixture of peat and perlite (1:1). Choose a slightly acidic growing medium and remember to add organic matter. A drainage layer will also help your greenie feel at its best!
Propagation
The easiest way to propagate your green beauty is from cuttings. You can use the small parts of the plant. Simply stick them in moist soil or put them in water and let them grow roots.
Temperature
The ideal temperature for caring for Peperomia 'Hope' is between 65° and 75° F (18°-24° C). If you live close to the equator, you can grow Peperomia outdoors all year round.
