Pericallis is a small genus of 15 species of flowering plants in the family Asteraceae, native to the Canary Islands, Madeira and Azores. The genus includes herbaceous plants and small subshrubs. In the past, the genus was often included in either Cineraria or Senecio.
Water whenever the soil feels dry to the touch. Hot summer weather will stop the flower show. Replace them with heat-loving annuals after they fade.
Just remember that pericallis is heat-sensitive so plant it early when the temperatures are cool--they can tolerate temperatures as low as 35 degrees F.
