How to Care for the Plant
Water
For this Calathea, the quality of water used for irrigation is important. The water temperature should be 2-3 degrees above room temperature. You also need to water the bush with soft water, for example, melted or rain. Water the flower abundantly in summer and moderately in winter.
Pruning
Calathea Fusion White does not require special pruning. You can remove dead leaves occasionally, but only after they have completely dried.
Fertilizer
Feed in April-August. To do this, apply a complex mineral fertilizer for decorative leafy plants to the substrate once every 15 days. It is better to fertilize after watering.
Sunlight
Calathea Fusion White is a light-loving plant. However, it also feels good in partial shade, so it can grow in the back of the room. However, the best place for a flower is the east and west windows.
Soil
The substrate should be slightly acidic, loose, and well-breathable. It is best to buy a ready-made soil mixture for rhododendrons or arrowroot in a specialized store. However, you can also prepare the substrate yourself. To do this, mix calcined river sand with peat, humus, and leafy soil (1:2:2:2).
Propagation
You can grow Calathea from seeds, but it is a long and laborious process. Therefore, flower growers prefer to propagate the plant by dividing the bush during transplantation or by cuttings. If you are propagating a plant from cuttings, remember that you need to provide it with greenhouse conditions until the cutting has given roots.
Temperature
The temperature in the room with the plant should change smoothly. Protect it from sudden changes in temperature during the day. The air temperature should not fall below 61 degrees Fahrenheit (16 Celsius). A comfortable temperature will be 64-77 (18-25) degrees. However, the plant is able to withstand temperatures up to 86 (30) degrees.
Container
As Calathea Fusion White has a shallow root system, you may choose a small pot. It can be quite low but wide enough for your plant. There must be a drainage layer at the bottom.
Fun fact
Leaves of Calathea are used for weaving baskets.

Calathea Fusion White leaves are delicate, the occasional small patch of discolouration, particularly on lower leaves, is normal. These leaves can be pruned without adversely affecting the plant.
