Ideally suited for pot culture, Ambrosina bassii is easily grown in a well drained compost in frost free conditions. Despite the small size, this is a really interesting plant that deserves to be more widely grown.Ambrosina bassii, the only member of the genus, is a small species found in several Mediterranean countries. The inflorescence is held at ground level, and is split into two chambers internally with male flowers in one and female flowers in the other. As with several other low growing Mediterranean plants, seeds are dispersed by Ants.
