How to Care for the Plant
Water
Yucca plants require the top 2.5 inches of the soil to feel dry to the touch before watering. this typically means watering yucca plants every 10-14 days but can vary according to differences in climate. however the how often you water depends on how quickly the top 2.5 inches of the soil dries out.
Pruning
Trim out dead and damaged leaves any time, pinching off or cutting off each of those leaves at its base. Avoid cutting into a plant's main stems or its crown, which is where its leaves and roots meet.
Fertilizer
Liquid fertilizers are applied more frequently, bi-weekly or monthly, for example. Granular products are used less frequently, perhaps once every month or two. Slow-release houseplant fertilizers break down slowly and release their nutrients in small amounts, over a longer period of time. A single application of most of these products lasts for three to four months.
Sunlight
If your plant is not getting enough light, the most common sign is the yellowing and dropping of leaves, stunted leaf growth, elongated stems, and a dull-green color. If your plant is getting too much light, then its leaves will have singed tips, burned patches, or will be falling off (yikes!).
Soil
Prefer fertile soil, preferably loose and loamy with adequate drainage.
Temperature
Best where winter temperatures stay above 0° C, but resist to5° C in well drained soil, planted in protect and exposed to south area.
Container
Ceramic pots are the most popular type of containers for houseplants today. You'll find them in all kinds of styles, colors, and sizes. At one time, the clay pot was the most common container for indoor plants. When choosing a pot, choose a pot that is 2.5-5 cm (1-2”) larger than the current size.
