How to Care for the Plant
Water
Once or twice a week in the summer will be sufficient for this plant. Winter months can slow down to once a week. You can always check your plant’s soil for dryness and provide water if the top 2 inches (0.050m) are dry.
Pruning
While it is not necessary to prune this plant, you can remove dead and old leaves to help keep it looking tip-top and clear the way for new growth.
Fertilizer
During the spring, summer, and fall, provide a diluted, nitrogen-rich fertilizer once a month to keep your Glorious happy.
Sunlight
Bright, indirect light is ideal for this plant. While it can handle direct sunlight for a short time, too much sun will burn the leaves or turn them yellow. A sunny room with shade from other plants or objects works best!
Soil
Like most Philodendron plants, the Glorious wants a well-draining soil that will remain moist but not soggy. This plant is prone to root rot, so be sure not to over-water!
Propagation
A cutting with leaves and roots placed in a new pot will sprout new roots within a few weeks.
Temperature
The Glorious loves 60-80% humidity and 65-85°F (18-28°C) temperatures. The humidity should be warm and damp but never saturating, as this can invite plant diseases to visit your Glorious.
Container
A large pot will do well until this plant matures. Make sure there are plenty of drainage holes, and repot the plant when it has outgrown its current pot.
