This plant has a “self watering” pot. imI fill the pot on the side when it is low
I bought it online and it came in a box. I filled the water level on the pot right away. Leaves fell off for the guest few weeks but they haven’t been falling as much.

Personally I would cut back the brown leaves to encourage new growing healthy leaves
