If the roots out grew the pot it suffocated . Change its container, wash the roots softly, don’t hurt them, cut the dead off and repot in a pot that it will fit in. Keep the moist all the time. Don’t drown it, keep soil moist . And let the sun kiss it. Keep soil moist, I can’t stress that enough. I live in Texas.
