root rot

My mom is convinced this isnt root rot, but Im nearly 100% sure it is on both plants. Please confirm. It is a type of orchid, and she was giving it two ice cubes every Tuesday. Did she overwater it because the soil is always VERY wet

- **Condition Name**: Drought Stress - **Symptoms**: Dry, shriveled leaves and stems. - **Cause**: Lack of sufficient water. - **Treatment/Solution**: Increase watering and maintain consistent moisture levels.

Well, I have 3 orchid plants. So, stop watering it for 3-4 days if the soil is too wet. If the plant is not blooming yet, and brown it is probably dying or sick. Thats all Ive got. My orchids are always healthy

On those pictures they look like they need water asap. Even leafs are dried out. Cut off those completely dried roots and dead leaves. If your orchid have flower stems, cut them to. Leave minimum 3 roots untouched and then put your plant in glass bowl or jar that is filled with water to half or less. Place your plant above water so it barely touches water with remaining roots. Leave it like that for few days/weeks until you see signs of recovery (anywhere on plant). When you do, place it in new soil
