Plants doesnt grow in water, they grow in soil. That is why it is yellow now.

So, I have lucky bamboo. And I also have relatives who have lucky bamboo. The thing is, You honestly don't need to put it into a soil unless you want to. Now im not saying you can't get nutrients from it or that its not suggested, but its an option. If your plant is fine and your okay with how its going now, leave it.
