millipedes in my majesty palm
I just got this plant today my first inside plant at that. A couple hours after letting her sit in my home, I noticed a few millipedes in the soil. I have not done anything with her yet other than give her a little water and now I’m seeing these in there? What can I do to get rid of them all together at one time!! I don’t like bugs or insects especially inside my home! Please give me some tips and tricks on how to get rid of those millipedes 🥲

Based on the image provided, it appears that the plant is not thriving. It may be due to a lack of sunlight or proper care. Here are some tips to help improve the health of this plant: 1. Make sure the plant is receiving enough sunlight. Palms require a lot of light to thrive. If the plant is not receiving enough sunlight, move it to a brighter location. 2. Water the plant properly. Over-watering can be just as detrimental to a plant as under-watering. Make sure to water the plant when the soil is dry to the touch. 3. Fertilize the plant regularly. Palms are heavy feeders and require regular fertilization to stay healthy. Use a palm fertilizer and follow the instructions on the package. 4. Prune the plant regularly. Palms benefit from regular pruning to remove dead or damaged leaves. This will also help the plant to maintain its shape. 5. Keep the plant free of pests and diseases. Check the plant for signs of pests or diseases, such as scale, mealybugs, or fungus gnats. If you find any, treat the plant with appropriate pesticides. By following these tips, you should be able to improve the health of the plant and help it to thrive.
Well in this case I may be wrong saying this but I think the AI failed on this one. Your plant looks gorgeous in my opinion. As for the creepy crawlies a lot of people use Neem oil with good results. Let me research something real quick & I’ll come back with another option if my thoughts are right.
After a lil research another option you can use is food grade diatomaceous earth sprinkled around the plant.! DE is food grade and completely safe. Just don’t breathe it in. I mix it in my chickens feed regularly as a natural dewormer that also gets rid of mites, lice, ticks & they love to dust bath in it. I eat 4 of my chickens eggs every morning for breakfast again it’s completely safe & Cheap!! just make sure you get the food grade DE you can find it at any Tractor supply store 👍🏽
