what is wrong with the yellow part of my “pig ears”.

I never had one come to full bloom. Why is it yellow? Should I cut limb off to keep it from spreading?

From google Rotting plant base followed by yellowing and shrivelled leaves in Pig's Ear Plant is an indication of basal stem-rot disease which is brought about by overwet conditions. Avoid overwatering and ensure that the pot has a drainage hole and the soil is free-draining to prevent it from getting soggy.

I recently gave succulents plant food to my plant that has been placed in a pot. Shortly afterwards, it took off and grew 3 feet! Now it has looks like its going to bloom soon
