I cut the stem of my pothos/spiderplant and put it in water to propagate. My spiderplant had after like 3/4 days already bit of new roots. Sometimes I even use just a normal glass with water and put the plant in it and it grows amazingly.
Pothos is very easy to propagate. Basically put in water. Done
