Found a white mite in my soil??
I was misting my Ficus plant when I see this tiny white dot run across the soil of the pot. I lost it but ended up spraying where it hid (right beneath the base of the plant) with some water so hopefully that did the trick. I’m not sure if they are good or not, but my best guess is that they are harmful. I really don’t want to have a potential insect infestation since this plant is in my room, any tips on how to get rid of them safely and effectively?

Are you sure it wasn’t a fungus gnat larvae? They look white. Take a toothpick and rake the top of the soil. You’ll see them move if it’s gnat larvae. If so, get on it early to keep them from flying everywhere. I finally won my 2 month battle against them.
Hopefully not. I just know when I would disturb the soil I would see baby gnats move and their wings they couldn’t use yet made them look white
Some insects are good for the Soil. As Long as nothing appears rottend and the plant keeps growing it Should be Fine. :)
Probably a springtail
