Chinese Banyan/Ficus Gensing
Anyone else have one? I live in Colorado. I just purchased my first Ficus Gensing and I noticed first the green spots. I took pictures and says it’s healthy but I thought it was supposed to be smooth or maybe someone has an idea of what it is or how to get rid of it or maybe it is just healthy and I’m being over protective lol

I’ve had this plant for about 10 years but have never seen that. It could be mildew or mold. Did it have this when you purchased it or did it appear once you were home?
Most likely moss or algae. These organisms often grow on the trunks and branches of trees and shrubs in moist, humid conditions. It’s not harmful most of the time . With the thick trunk can actually help to improve the health of the plant by providing a source of nutrients and moisture.
