How to Care for the Plant
Water
Daffodils need lots of water while they are growing. Water immediately after planting and keep them moist until the rains come. continue watering for three weeks or so after blooming time.
Pruning
Dead fronds and leaves can be removed.
Fertilizer
As with most houseplants, they will benefit from an occasional feed during the growing season. An organic, balanced, liquid fertilizer once a month during spring and summer is recommended.
Sunlight
Indoors, keep your plant in an area having plenty of bright filtered light.
Soil
Loamy soil is ideal for most garden plants because it holds plenty of moisture but also drains well so that sufficient air can reach the roots. Many gardeners complain of their garden soil being compacted and/or poorly drained.
Temperature
All Narcissus bulbs should be planted in the fall once the soil has cooled down to 60°F to 55°F (after two weeks of sweater weather), normally just before or slightly after a killing frost.
