Androsace alpina, or Alpine rock-jasmine, is an alpine plant, endemic to the Alps. The flowers of A. alpina are white or pink (often both on the same plant), and in the short flowering season can be so densely packed that they completely shade the foliage. It is largely for this reason that A. alpina has become popular among horticulturists.
Datura plants will benefit from extra water during the growing season; the soil should stay moist. In the winter months, reduce watering but not to the point the soil completely dries out. Come winter season the Datura may go deciduous.
It thrives in limestone soil, made light with leaf mould and grit, and mixed with plenty of broken fragments;
The correct method for pruning these shrub-like plants is to cut off all but the newest growth. Prune back tips to about ½ inch (1.5 cm.) from the node. Do not prune the main leader unless you want to grow brugmansia in tree form.
