Bupleurum rigidum L. is a non-spiny perennial plant of 10–40 cm high, at most woody at the base, the leaves 10–30 mm wide, 5–9 parallel visible veins and umbels with 2–4 small and elongated rays. Bupleurum species roots and leaves are known to be rich in saponins.
Avoid over watering as this can lead to root rot. Position your orchid in a bright windowsill facing east or west.
A container that is about one-third as tall as the plant (measured from the soil line to the highest leaf) often works best.
