Clarkia amoena (Farewell to Spring or Godetia; syn. Godetia amoena) is a flowering plant native to western North America, found in coastal hills and mountains from British Columbia south to the San Francisco Bay Area. The common name derives from its bloom time of late spring to summer.
Plants grow best in full sun to light shade and well- drained to dry soil, but also tolerate seaside conditions, alkaline soil, salt, sand and clay.
