Ardisia humilis is an ornamental shrub that is native to southern China, the Philippines and Vietnam. It has been intentionally introduced in some tropical and subtropical regions of the world where it may escape from cultivation, becoming a potential problem in moist lowland areas.
Ardisia thrive in bright, sunny rooms, but don't like too much direct sunlight. Place them in rooms with south facing windows, but keep them out of direct sunlight.
Feed monthly in spring and summer with a slow-release fertilizer. If the leaf tips are brown, you could be over fertilizing.
