Evolvulus nuttallianus Schult makes a perfect addition to any garden bed or container; when planted in a sunny spot, this spreading plant will create a sea of ocean-blue flowers atop silvery blue-green foliage. These plants bloom from late spring all the way until the first frost, and will attract plenty of bees and butterflies, who love the nectar-rich blooms.
It can be grown in full sun to part shade, though it must be kept constantly moist. It makes a very good pot plant or edging around rock gardens and is especially good around ponds where it gets plenty of water.
Temperature and humidity levels are important considerations when growing a Pogonatherum peniceum. One should keep the plant in temperatures of 60 to 85°F (16 to 29°C) for maximum growth.
Required good drainage. The soil must be constantly moist in summer. Pogonatherum is very sensitive to dryness and to excessive moisture.
