Oenothera rosea, also known as rosy evening-primrose, rose evening primrose, pink evening primrose, or Rose of Mexico, is a plant belonging to the genus Oenothera and native to northern Mexico and Texas. Oenothera rosea has flowers with less than 2.5 cm (0.98 in) diameter. The shade varies from pink to red.

How to Care for the Plant
Water
Water throughout the summer months, about once a week or more during periods of drought, but let off once fall approaches. The primrose flower also appreciates light applications of organic fertilizer throughout the growing season.
Pruning
Most people cut back the evening primrose after it finishes flowering (you can also remove the spent blooms to promote re-blooming) by cutting away any crowded stems and pruning back the to base level in fall.
Sunlight
Semi-shade – this plant needs a lot of sunlight, but it has to be protected from the strongest rays of the sun. In a south-facing window, blinds should be shading it form direct light.
