Ephedra fragilis, commonly named the joint pine, is a species of Ephedra that is native to eastern Mediterranean region of southern Europe and Northern Africa, and from Madeira and the Canary Islands in the Atlantic. Its habitats are rocky hills and stone walls, where it grows to 6 feet (1.8 m) tall.
The watering of this plant should be moderate, that is, you do not have to water every day but do not let the soil dry out either. In general, it should be done about 3 times a week during the hottest time of the year, and every 4-5 days the rest.
Requires full sun outdoors, soil with good drainage (e.g. a mix with cactus soil) and good fertilization!
