Hymenocallis littoralis is South Mexico and Central America native. It is widespread in coastal areas such as seasides or riversides, hence the name.
It is a beautiful plant with stem growing 24—28 inches (60—70 cm) tall. With flowers in full bloom, the plant is even taller. The flowers are large and white, resembling huge spiders, vanilla-scented. The leaves are narrow-shaped and long. Beach Spider Lily grows both indoors and outdoors. Indoor plants require big containers, and once grown outdoors, love sun and tropical climate.
