It is the variety known as "Escargot", it is a hybrid of the Begonia Rex and its peculiarity lies in the spirals that form its leaves that resemble the shell of a snail. Due to its striking foliage, it can be grown in isolation, but it can also be combined with other plants with intensely colored flowers and leaves. The snail begonia is a perennial plant of tropical origin.
Too much water rots the roots off the plants, especially at cool temperatures, e.g. below 55 degrees Fahrenheit.
