Mammillaria fittkaui is a small decorative succulent of an unusual shape, belonging to the Cactaceae family and originating from Mexico. In its natural environment, the succulent grows on various rocky heights, where it feels comfortable in the rocky soil and warm climate due to its long roots and massive stem, which are able to retain moisture for a long period of time.
Mammillaria fittkaui is easily identified by its spherical shape and thick, dark green stems that can grow up to 4 in (10 cm) tall and 2 in (5 cm) wide.
The spines are long, quite smooth, always straight, and have a brown color, which is more evident at their end. Flowers of small size bloom in spring and summer and have a white-pink color and thin dark lines with a pink or purple tint. The fruits contain brown seeds, are small, and have a brownish-yellow color that can be bright or pale.
