Cachucha chile peppers widely vary in shape depending on cultivation habits, soil, and the climate it is grown in, but the pods are generally squat, oblong, to round with a creased and wrinkled appearance. Similar in shape to a habanero pepper, the peppers average ten centimeters in width and 5 to 7 centimeters in length and sometimes resemble a small hat.

Soil
Mix equal parts potting soil, compost, perlite and sphagnum moss. Fill a 12-inch pot 3/4 full with the mixture. The pot should have adequate drainage. Start seeds two months before the planting season.
Container
Aji dulce plants bear fruit when they are about 18 inches tall. The compact nature of the pepper plant makes it well-suited to container growing.
