Tricolor is known for its striking foliage that resembles camouflage. The leaves are oval shaped dark to light green with silver markings. It's a spectacular plant with a bit of a wonky growth. Plants tend to get leggy and require high humidity.
Use a diluted fertilizer at half the recommended strength. Fertilize every two weeks in Spring and Summer.
Soil requirement. Aglaonema pictum tricolor plant finely grows in fertile soil with good drainage. The soil should be moist enough to provide water to the plant, but should not be waterlogged.
Temperature. Keep the temperature between 60°F to 85°F (16°C – 29°C). This is a subtropical plant that needs to be kept warm.
Aglaonema plants are poisonous due to calcium oxalate crystals. If ingested they cause irritation of the mucous membranes, and the juice can cause skin irritation and painful rash.
