Autumn Moonlight™ Encore® Azalea - Rhododendron 'Mootum' – has brilliant, two-inch flowers with a dusty yellow throat. Twice a year, in the spring and summer, this shrub blooms.
Fertilize once at the beginning of each spring — after the fear of frost has passed. You may find that this will be the only time you need to fertilize. However, if you feel you need to fertilize again, do so before August.
The best time to trim Autumn Moonlight Encore Azalea Shrubs is after the blossoms have faded and before the new blossom buds have started. If you prune azaleas after the beginning of July, you may not get any flowers on the bush next year.
This Azalea is great for container gardening. Plant an Autumn Moonlight in a container, and place it on your back patio or deck.
Azaleas are toxic to dogs and cats, although they are less likely to consume them than livestock. The Autumn Moonlight Encore Azalea adds pure white color to the southern landscape and beyond. Azaleas are excellent for borders and mass plantings.
