How to Care for the Plant

Water

Water every 4-7 days when top 1" of soil is dry. Alocasia are water loving plants but never the plant sit in soggy soil.

Pruning

Once the foliage has completely wilted, cut down the last stems and store the pot in a cool place (between 15 and 18 degrees Celsius) and away from the light.

Fertilizer

Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth. By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.

Temperature

The warmer, the better, for caladium houseplants. Aim for 70 degrees Fahrenheit, if possible, as that is the temperature at which tubers begin to grow. Keep the humidity as high as is practical.
