How to Care for the Plant
Water
It has semi succulent leaves which means that if you overwater it the leaves can become squishy and the plant can be susceptible to root rot. Instead wait for your plant to dry out between waterings and then water it thoroughly. If you find it difficult to gauge when the soil has dried out then we would recommend using a moisture meter. You simply stick the probes into the soil and it gives you a reading of how moist the soil is. When the reading says dry give it a drink.
Pruning
If stems and leaves begin overgrowing you can pinch out the top of certain stems to stop growth, otherwise, they begin to grow spindly and out of shape in appearance. New growth develops from the nodes just below the cut in the stem.
Fertilizer
Fertilizing it every spring or summer should be enough for it to grow healthy. Diluted fertilizers are more appreciated for this purpose.
Sunlight
We would recommend not placing your Peperomia Piccolo Banda in direct light as this could cause the colourings to fade.
Soil
They prefer loamy soil, cool temperatures, high humidity, and dappled sunlight. The common names for Peperomia albovittata include: Piccolo Banda.
Temperature
As Peperomia Piccolo Banda belongs to the tropical climate, they prefer to stay in warmer, humid climates. They are not frost tolerant plants. The ideal temperature for these plants is between 10- 24 degree Celsius.
