Banana yucca is one of about 40 yucca species, all of which are native to the New World. Most yuccas have dry hard fruits, but the fruits of banana yucca are fleshy and succulent. They look roughly like short fat green bananas, thus the name.
Although Yucca baccata is considered a succulent plant, it grows better with regular watering. During watering, water should not be allowed to enter the crown, this can provoke decay. In winter, the plant is rarely watered or do without watering at all.
A complex fertilizer is used, but it is advisable to dilute it well, the solution should be light and not strong. Read the instructions - and make it two times weaker. The best time for feeding is April, May, as well as the summer months, the frequency is once every three weeks.
