How to Care for the Plant
Water
Pomegranate trees require about 1 inch (2.45 cm) of water a week. To do this, ensure the soil remains relatively moist and that when you water, all of the tree's roots become wet.
Pruning
Cut branches back by about a third of their length each year after fruiting to keep the plant reasonably small and ensure more energy goes towards fruit growth.
Fertilizer
A fertilizer created specifically for a citrus fruit tree is recommended. You can find these in most garden supply locations.
Sunlight
These pretty guests from the brighter part of the world are happiest when they receive direct sunlight. The recommended amount is about 6 hours. A south-facing window would be a grreat choice!
Soil
Rich, nutritious, slightly acidic soil is best for these greenies. Make sure the soil has some sand to ensure proper water drainage.
Propagation
Cut a small newly grown piece of a branch; we recommend about 8 inches (20 cm) in length. Plant the branch in the soil described above, and it should root within a month. Keep moist and in the light.
Temperature
Temperatures around and above 85ºF (29℃) will make your tree the happiest.
Container
When growing inside, start with a 12-inch (30.5 cm) sized container and upgrade as the tree grows. Make sure the pot has drainage to ensure you do not overwater your cute tree.
Fun fact
Pomegranate fruits have a long shelf life when refrigerated.
