Burle Marx is an easy to grow, low-growing variety of Philodendron well suited for interiorscapes, containers and tropical landscape mass plantings. The jungle green, elliptical leaves are thick and leather-like and arranged in a upright formation. This glossy, heart-shaped leaf philodendron is named after the brilliant Brazilian artist and landscape architect, Roberto Burle Marx. Leaves adorn this gently clumping philodendron that develops runners, making an exceptional ground cover. Will climb if given support. Tolerates more sun than other philodendrons, and once established, tolerates mild drought. Burle Marx are very easy to grow tropical plants that require little care indoors or out. Like other aroids, many species of Philodendron can be grown as houseplants, or outdoors in mild climates.
