They are fast growing, but are readily trimmed into shape, making them adaptable as small, compact plants displayed on a table through to tall, specimen floor plants.

How to Care for the Plant
Water
Water your schefflera thoroughly when the top 75% of soil is dry. Allow the water to run out of the drainage hole in the bottom of the pot, discarding any water that flows into the saucer; your schefflera is a very hardy plant and doesn't mind if you occasionally wait too long between waterings.
Pruning
Never remove more than a third of the foliage in any one year and to cut just above a node on the stem.
Fertilizer
Mix the recommended amount of liquid fertilizer and water in a watering can. Then simply pour the mix into the soil as if you're watering the plant.
Sunlight
In most cases, plants receiving no outdoor light should be lit from 16 to 18 hours each day. If some additional light is received, 12 to 14 hours each day may be adequate. Lights should be used at the same time that plants receive window light.
Soil
Use a potting mix, which makes it safer for plants because it doesn't contain pathogens such as fungus or other diseases.
Temperature
Normal household conditions 15-24°C. Avoid draughts.
Container
Increase pot size by 2.5-5 cm (1 to 2 inches) in diameter for plants that are growing in pots 25.4 cm (10 inches) in diameter or less. For larger plants, those growing in pots greater than 10 inches in diameter, increase the pot size by 5 or 7.62 cm (2 or 3 inches) in diameter.
