K. amabilis is a vigorous, suckering, deciduous shrub with arching branches bearing broadly ovate, pointed, dark green leaves and, in late spring and early summer, corymbs of bell-shaped, pale to deep pink flowers with yellow throats.
It is fine in full sun but is perfectly happy with some shade where it may well not flower quite so heavily.
In more mature clumps it may well be sensible to prune out some of the older stems from time to time to make room for the new suckers which will be even more laden with flowers.
