Acampe pachyglossa also called as The Broad-Lipped Acampe, Acampe madagascariensis, Acampe mombasensis, Acampe nyassana, Acampe pachyglossa subsp. renschiana, Acampe renschiana, Saccolabium mombasense, Saccolabium pachyglossum, is a species of the genus Acampe. This species was described by Heinrich Gustav Reichenbach in 1881.The Broad-Lipped Acampe blooms at most any time of the year with an axillary, erect, to 20 cm long, but mostly shorter, occasionally branched, densly several flowered inflorescence with miniature clusters of barred flowers occuring at various times of the year, but mostly in the summer and fall and having a sweet diurnal fragrance. The flowers are about 1cm in diameter; sepals and petals are greenish cream, greenish yellow or pale lemon-yellow with transverse crimson or reddish brown stripes and spots; lip is white or pale pink, sparsely and similarly marked; column is greenish cream, similarly marked.
