Hoary Bowlesia (or Hairy Bowlesia) is a native weed of the western U.S. where it is spreading rapidly in southern and southeastern turf and landscapes. It has also been found in some container nurseries. This plant is a low growing, winter annual that produces pale green clumps or mats in the spring and reaches 1-3 feet tall. Young plants strongly resemble hairy buttercup with palmately lobed leaves.
