How to Care for the Plant
Water
Water freely
Pruning
Dead fronds and leaves can be removed.
Fertilizer
When it comes to fertilizers, you want to avoid over-fertilizing (just like an overdose of vitamins isn't great for us, either). Less is more, so it’s important to follow what the package says for application amounts.
Sunlight
Full sun to partial shade.
Soil
Rich, well-draining soil.
Temperature
Grows naturally in humid tropical lowland to mid-elevation climates, generally areas with annual lows of 15 to 25 °C, annual highs of 25 to 35 °C, annual rainfall of 1400 mm to 3800 mm and a dry season of 3 months or less.
Container
Increase pot size by 2.5-5 cm (1 to 2 inches) in diameter for plants that are growing in pots 25.4 cm (10 inches) in diameter or less. For larger plants, those growing in pots greater than 10 inches in diameter, increase the pot size by 5 or 7.62 cm (2 or 3 inches) in diameter.
