What is the plant

Blue Mahoe is a medium-sized timber and landscape tree native to the Caribbean islands of Jamaica and Cuba, where it occurs in humid tropical forests.It grows at a fast to moderate rate, depending on the growing conditions, to heights of up to 35 m (115 ft) in natural forests, though is more commonly 15 to 20 m (50 to 65 ft) tall.The trunk is straight and slender, up 40 cm (15 in) in diameter and supports a rounded crown of ascending branches. The bark is grey or light brown, on young trees smooth, with age becoming fissured.
