This selection, part of the âRuffles & Lacesâ series, is grown for the colourful ruffled blooms, early and repeat blooming and improved heat, humidity and drought tolerance. It produces fragrant light-green leaves forming a bushy, evergreen mound and unusual chubby, lilac-purple spikes waving petals from the top. Excellent in mixed containers and the hot sunny border. May be wintered indoors in cold regions. Drought tolerant once established. Flowers are attractive to butterflies.

How to Care for the Plant
Water
Specifically, most experts agree that a lavandula stoechas ssp. Pedunculata âbentleyâ plant needs at least weekly watering, or more in extreme heat, preferably with regular water. Which is why it is considered a plant with relatively average needs in terms of water.
Pruning
Get rid of damaged leaves and stems. This is important because damaged leaves and stems can actually be an energy drain on your plant. By removing those dead parts, you're taking some of that work off your plantâs plate and allowing it to divert its energy into healthy leaves and new growth!
Fertilizer
Use a 5-10-10 blend or 10-10-10 fertilizer diluted to 1/4th strength.
Sunlight
If your plant is not getting enough light, the most common sign is the yellowing and dropping of leaves, stunted leaf growth, elongated stems, and a dull-green color. If your plant is getting too much light, then its leaves will have singed tips, burned patches, or will be falling off (yikes!).
Soil
The ideal blend of soil for plant growth is called loam. Often referred to as topsoil or black dirt by landscape companies, loam is a mixture of sand, clay, and silt.
Temperature
Lowest Temperature:10° to 20°F (-12° to -7°C)
Container
When choosing a pot, choose a pot that is 2.5-5 cm (1-2â) larger than the current size. Ceramic pots are porous which means your plants are less likely to experience root rot from overwatering. It also means you'll have to water more often. Plastic pots are lighter, less likely to break, and easier to clean.
