Cactus species Cereus jamacaru Is a large columnar type cactus from Brazil with a large primarily white nocturnal bloom. It can grow to over 20-30 feet or (5-7 meters) tall, eventually becoming a large tree like cactus with branching arms. It also produces a very tasty Apple cactus fruit similar to Cereus peruvianus and Stenocereus griseus. Cereus jamacaru also has uses as an interesting landscape plant requiring very little water once established with the added benefit of edible fruit.
