What is the plant

Aloidendron dichotomum is also commonly known by the name quiver tree. It is an extremely tough and robust aloe that can live over 80 years and grow to heights of approximately 7-9 metres. Naturally distributed in the Northern Cape and Namibia, Quiver trees also thrive in cultivation where rainfall is below 500 m per annum, frost is not too severe, and planted in a sunny position, in well-draining sandy soil. Quiver trees have a relatively fast growth rate and, provided favourable conditions, can grow into the size of a small tree is less than 15 years.
