Like all bamboo varieties, Muriel bamboo is one of the sweet grasses. The name comes from this grass, which is native to southern central China, the daughter of a British botanist Ernest Wilson. Muriel bamboo reaches a height between 1 and 5 meters and grows in dense clumps. The stalks of this bamboo variety have a diameter of 0.5 to 1.5 cm. At each node, up to 10 branches form, at the end of which grow a maximum of 6 elongated narrow leaves (about 6 cm long). Several cultivars of this bamboo are known, e.g. Standing Stone, Flamingo, Green Arrows and others
