The Spindle Palm (Hyophorbe verschaffeltii) is an endangered species of palm endemic to Mauritius.
This palm is excellent for beginners and does not require much upkeep. This beloved palm can grow to reach heights of 10-20ft (3-6m). To identify the Spindle Palm, one needs to look no further than the swollen midsection from which it gets its name, as it resembles a spindle. Leaves can reach lengths of 10ft (3m) and contain up to 150 leaflets.
This tropical palm does very well indoors and outdoors and is an excellent addition to any office space.
