What is the plant

Some plants contain plenty of health benefits, and Moringa is definitely one of those.

A tropical species native to parts of Latin America, Africa, and Asia, the Moringa oleifera has gained popularity worldwide for its many health benefits and high nutritional value. It goes by the common name the Horseradish Tree, Miracle Tree, or simply Moringa. The leaves, fruits, and flowers of that tree are edible and are popular food consumed by Southeast Asians.

The Moringa tree can grow up to 30 feet (9 m) in height and develops a deep taproot. Also, each branch produces several compound tripinnate leaves that come in three sets, and each of those contains tiny, oval-shaped leaflets. The flowers are white, dainty, and pea-like and, when fertilized, produce fruit pods that resemble the shape of a dagger.

You can start growing the Horseradish Tree, especially when propagating from seeds. However, you should know that, as a tropical plant, it needs to be brought indoors for the winter if you live in colder regions than USDA 8-10. As for the size, something around 7 gallons (26.5 liters) would do nicely because it has quite a fast-growing and big root system.
