One of the larger houseplant varieties, Philodendron Giganteum Variegated, is often identified as “Elephant Ear” for its large leaves that resemble elephant ears!
Many debates surround the origins of this plant, but common thought places it in the Caribbean. This plant grows under the canopy of tropical forests with little sunlight, meaning it will do great in homes and even gardens. This is one of the largest houseplants a person can have in their home, so be sure you have plenty of room to let this plant stretch out! Please note that this plant, like most plants in the Philodendron family, is toxic to both humans and pets.
