What is the plant

Cannabis sativa is an annual herbaceous flowering plant indigenous to eastern Asia but now of cosmopolitan distribution due to widespread cultivation. It is used as a source of industrial fiber, seed oil, food, in medicine, and recreation.

Cannabis sativa plant is a narcotic (legally) in some countries. Its action is almost entirely on the higher nerve centres, it can produce an exhilarating intoxication with hallucinations and is a widely used street drug. It has also been widely used in the past by mystics and sages wanting to communicate with the higher forces of nature. The nature of its effect does depend much on the temperament of the individual.

How to Care for the Plant

Water
A healthy cycle of wet and dry is necessary for the roots of a plant to grow out and reach deeper into the pot. To see if a plant needs watering, stick a finger down a couple inches into the soil. If it’s dry, it’s time to water. An underwatered plant looks droopy and weak, with yellow or brown leaves. There is no strength in the leaves and they feel lifeless. But an overwatered plant look similar, except that the leaves are dark green and the leaf tips will curl as if they are hiding from the water in their pot.
Fertilizer
If growing in soil, you should liquid feed every other watering. All nutrients offer the nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium (NPK) ratio, which is shown as three numbers. These are the primary nutrients needed to grow plants.
Sunlight
You need to make sure that your plants are getting at least 8+ hours of direct sunlight each day for the best results. Another option is artificial lighting.

Soil
