Monstera Dubia Care
Monstera dubia

Young Monstera dubia plants start with two to three inch leaves, but when allowed to climb, the maturing foliage can grow 12 to 15 inches in diameter with the iconic split leaf appearance, similar to that of a Monstera deliciosa. Dubia are very easy to grow tropical plants that require little care indoors or out. Like other aroids, many species of Monstera can be grown as houseplants, or outdoors in mild climates. Monstera plants can be grown in pots, hanging baskets or outdoors as a ground cover or beautiful tree wrap.

How to Care for the Plant
Water
Water Monstera moderately and evenly, about once a week. Wait until the soil is fairly dry before watering again. Keep in a fairly humid environment.
Fertilizer
To help establish your new Dubia monstera, fertilize sparingly at least 6 inches away from the base, tri-annually with a slow time released product. Unfertilized they will tend to grow very slowly.
Sunlight
This Monstera requires 70-85% sunlight. Depending on your location filtered sun is best.
Soil
Dubia monsteras enjoy well drained but moist, rich organic mix. Stay away from wet, mucky or dry, sandy soils.
Temperature
Indoors plants thrive at temperatures between 55°- 80°F. If you bring the pot outside, be sure to avoid frost and freezing temperatures.
