How to Care for the Plant
Water
Allow the soil to dry out before watering, and be careful to avoid getting water on the leaves. In winter, the plants will require more water, as winter begins its active growth season. If you are unsure when to water your Pachyphytum, watch the lowermost leaves for signs of drying and water them then.
Fertilizer
Feed monthly in spring and summer with a fertilizer specially made for cacti and succulents.
Sunlight
The plant will enjoy bright direct sunlight.
Soil
The plant requires a mildly acidic (6.1 to 6.5) and well-draining soil sandy soil outside. Inside, it can be grown in a potted mix developed for succulents and cacti.
Temperature
Outside, the plant can be cultivated in the areas with the lowest winter temperatures of -1.1°C (30°F). However, it should be brought inside if the temperature is under 50°F/10°F. Inside, normal room temperature around 20-22°C (68-72°F) is sufficient though the plant is grown best in temperatures up to 80°F/27°C.
